The classic Australian car manufacturer named Holden was first founded in 1919. Among its many cars in its product line, the Holden Commodore is considered to be one of the all-time class and revered models. Over time, the Commodore - followed only by the Ute - has proven to be the most popular car on the market since its inception year in and year out. Throughout our more recent history, the Cruze, Captiva, and the Astra have been added to the Holden's lineup and achieved a great deal of popularity as well.

Because the company has been in existence for so long, it only makes sense that Rare Spares should partner with them to offer factory-quality auto spares for the classic models. The partnership has led to the Holden Restoration Parts by Rare Spares programme. The programme is very similar to the partnership between certain specialised outlets and GM for their classic cars. This programme will allow owners of the classic models to find good quality auto spares easily and with confidence.

It is clear that the passion for classic Holden cars is a strong one otherwise Rare Spares would not have embarked on this production line. However, the fit is a natural one. Rare Spares, though not as old of a company as Holden, has been around for the last 30 years. The company was started in an effort to satisfy the demand of classic Holden car owners that needed parts for simple repairs or deep restorations. Rare Spares has grown into being a nationally recognised company with outlets in every state of Australia as well as some in New Zealand.

What bears pointing out, however, its that not each and every owner of old Holden cars will drive wonderfully restored classic models. They do not have any requirements for brand new rare spares. Nor do they wish to pay for new parts if they can acquire used and reconditioned parts that can work equally well. Since old Holden cars in Australia are commonly found on roads and in garages, used auto spares or reconditioned auto spares might be sourced at a mere fraction of the price through top specialty parts websites.

Most people will purchase new and rare spares on because they automatically assume reconditioned parts are produced from inferior quality items. This, however, is far from the truth of the matter. A great many used and second hand auto spares are on par with and can be considered significantly better than their counterparts which are brand new. Remember, a spare part that has been reconditioned and rebuilt has the potential to save you thousands of dollars on the purchase of a brand new equivalent.

A great many specialty auto parts sites present incredibly cheap auto spares for purchase in the Holden collection. Owners of all items from the original 48-215 of 1948 to the highly popular VS Commodore of the 1990s will have the potential to acquire auto spares for very little. Auto spares for the FJ of the 1950s and the 1960s popular EH along with the Toranas and the Monaros of the 1970s remain high in demand. Fans of all these models will be able to acquire top quality auto spares for any of these models at extremely low costs. Clearly, that is a good thing!
